Crochet Patchwork
I had been contemplating different ways to use my leftover sock yarn when I saw that Sandra at Cherry Heart was making a blanket with her sock yarn. I liked the look so I started my own blanket.

Abide With Me
This angel stayed on my work table with me during the holidays. I often paint paper mache with acrylic paint because it dries faster, but my favorite painting medium is oil paint. I love the sheen. It makes me happy.
May you enjoy the goodness of life this coming year.

Family
One from the family of jack-o-lanterns at Roland's Bistro. We all contributed with ideas, faces, and the work/play. They weren't quite ready September 30, so I was going to take them in a day later than planned. My four-year-old grandson said we had to have them ready for October 1, and said he would help me get them finished. He said that's what we do. Work together to get things done. He stayed up late helping to paint the final layer so I could do the detail work.
My daughter took them in and had them on their tables the morning of October 1st.

This One
The last post shows a jack-o-lantern in the beginning stages. I started out making twenty jack-o-lanterns for Roland's Bistro, then made two more. When I put this guy on my still life crate to dry, I decided he was going to stay with me. And someone else wanted another one. The one from the last post.

Christmas Coasters
9 x 11 cm |
We have crocheted off white doilies for coasters, and I wanted some green coasters to put under the Christmas doilies. After considering the possibilities, I decided to use some gesso boards that were prepared for paintings. I wanted to use oil paint, but was it worth it to make small paintings for coasters? I thought mini paintings would be just right.
They'll be dry for next Christmas. :-)
