Something Blue

Not the Tardis.

Did you see the episode with Matt Smith, and Amy and Rory got married?  Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.  I saw it.   My daughter is a Whovian.  When we moved here, she insisted I watch Dr. Who with her and I enjoy watching the show, especially with my daughter.  One chilly day we had a fire in the fireplace, I was knitting socks, and she was knitting her Dr. Who scarf.  We ate whatever, whenever.  We watched Dr. Who.  All day long.  What a nice day.

Dandelions are fun to paint.  Sunbursts of cheer.  Charlie is an up and coming cat.

Pucker Up For a Kiss

7 x 4"
Wolfgang grew these lemons at home in East Tennessee.  The bigger lemon is really orange, and the Hershey kiss is really red violet.

Crochet Patchwork

I had been contemplating different ways to use my leftover sock yarn when  I saw that Sandra at Cherry Heart was making a blanket with her sock yarn.  I liked the look so I started my own blanket.

Abide With Me

This angel stayed on my work table with me during the holidays.  I often paint paper mache with acrylic paint because it dries faster, but my favorite painting medium is oil paint.  I love the sheen.  It makes me happy.

May you enjoy the goodness of life this coming year.

Family

One from the family of jack-o-lanterns at Roland's Bistro.  We all contributed with ideas, faces, and the work/play.  They weren't quite ready September 30, so I was going to take them in a day later than planned.  My four-year-old grandson said we had to have them ready for October 1, and said he would help me get them finished.  He said that's what we do.  Work together to get things done.  He stayed up late helping to paint the final layer so I could do the detail work.

My daughter took them in and had them on their tables the morning of October 1st.

This One

The last post shows a jack-o-lantern in the beginning stages.  I started out making twenty jack-o-lanterns for Roland's Bistro, then made two more.  When I put this guy on my still life crate to dry, I decided he was going to stay with me.  And someone else wanted another one.  The one from the last post.

Whiskers

9 x 13 cm
The rabbit was adapted from a pattern by Sandra at Cherry Heart. She used larger yarn, but most of my scraps right now are left over from knitting socks. http://sandra-cherryheart.blogspot.com

Sweet and Sour

9.5 x 6 inches

I ran into my daughter online the other day while I was setting up this still life painting.  With messaging and sending pictures, we discussed motif, composition and lighting, and came up with this arrangement.  It was fun.

Someone else likes to get in on the action.
