This painting is very impressionistic . . . I like the way the blues and purples of the eggplant are so strong and all else fades away. Also like the crispness and contrast in the painting of the white cannister with lid.
Thank you Virginia. Iridescent is exactly the word I was looking for to describe Lorraine's mug that I admire. I wonder if I could paint iridescent on purpose.

I like the strong purples and blues of the eggplant contrasted with the pale blues of the mug. It looks almost iridescent.
