Very nice! I like the blue underpainting that peeks through in places-- cool against the warm reds.

I alway think of Amaryllis as a Christmas flower. My mother would often receive one and grow it on her dining table in the middle of winter. She would rejoice at every new bloom.

Thank you Virginia. My father-in-law could grow Amaryllis, but I need to study about them to have them bloom again.

You paint with such delicacy, Caladh! Love the dynamism and purple tones in the shadows on Apples and Chestnuts. And the complementary colors in Amaryllis. I've got some ready to bloom and look forward to painting them, too.
